Obedience Training

Many people say that training a Scottish Terrier is impossible! Let me just say that since finding the right Obedience Training School, Bobby (Sparhawk Sapphire Knight) has not only achieved obedience to Gold Level, but we are now surging ahead with our Platinum Obedience Training.

We attend training classes every Friday night, which for me until recently was very difficult as Fridays should be for relaxing, however, since Bobby took to training like a duck to water, we have continued this programme since January 2006. An added difficulty for Bobby was that when he started training he was already 3 years old and well established in naughty habits! Since then, his devotion to training is outstanding - he WANTS to learn.

Our Friday night routine also allows us to meet many varied breeds of dogs and encourages socialisation with dogs other than his own breed. It has also opened up for me a new group of like minded people who want to get the best out of their dogs. However, it's not just a Friday night that's important in the training calendar, it is in fact every day of the week. A little bit of training each and every day certainly helps, although I do admit to not achieving my own goals on a fairly regular basis!

I'm not going to share my secrets here with you on this page. If you are interested in finding out more about the training school I attend, please feel free to contact me on any of the numbers detailed on this website.
